KATHERINE MOHR
Katherine Mohr holds the unique distinction of being the first second-generation female bowmaker in the United States, which is reflected in her business name, Fille de Mohr. She has extensively studied the craft of bow making and restoration under the guidance of her father, Rodney D. Mohr, a world-renowned, award-winning bowmaker.
Since 2013, Katherine has served clients in the greater Cleveland, Ohio, area and across the country. To date, she has crafted over 80 bows that are currently played in orchestras around the world. Her clientele includes soloists, members of the Cleveland Orchestra, and students from the Cleveland Institute of Music and the Oberlin Conservatory, and countless freelance musicians. Many of her bows can be found in the hands of players throughout the USA, as well as Canada, Scotland, and Spain.
